Hi! I'm Adam -

an Industrial Engineering student at the University of Toronto, driven to build technology that makes everyday life more accessible for everyone.

PORTFOLIO

Projects

Arduino Accessibility Sensor

A portable Arduino prototype built to help people with mobility or visual challenges navigate more safely.

I designed and programmed this simple device using the HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor to detect obstacles and guide movement. It was a great learning experience in applying engineering principles to solve real-world problems. Here's a picture!

University of Toronto Discovery Chemistry Project

Conducted research through U of T's Discovery Program and presented findings at the 2025 Chemistry Symposium.

I collaborated with my team on an advanced hydrogel research project through the University of Toronto Discovery Project in Chemistry, then presented our findings at the 2 025 UofT Chemistry Symposium. Our group was recognized as a winner in the program. It strengthened my analytical skills, scientific reasoning, and ability to work through research as part of a team. View full poster →

UofT Discovery Physics

Physics-based turbine engineering project involving modelling and analysis.

I collaborated with my team through the University of Toronto Discovery Project to design, 3D-print, and evaluate Pelton water turbine prototypes across 20+ trials to optimize hydroelectric power efficiency. I calculated power generation using fluid dynamics and electrical output equations, analyzed design trade-offs, and presented our research poster at the U of T Physics Symposium. This project strengthened my engineering analysis and experimental troubleshooting skills. View full poster →

Python Temperature Calculator

A Python application for temperature conversion and calculations.

I built a command-line Python application to perform bidirectional temperature conversions across Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin scales. I designed the program to give users a practical conversion tool, including an option to export calculation history to a text file. This project strengthened my core Python skills and practical software development practices.

Achievements

Flag

picoCTF

Top-5% global ranking at picoCTF 2026, an international cybersecurity competition.

I led our school's team in the picoCTF 2026 cybersecurity competition. I guided team strategy, helped newer members, and solved technical challenges throughout the event. Our team reached the top 5% out of 8,750+ global teams, making it the highest rank our school has achieved in the competition.

Skills Canada

I represented my school in Skills Canada IT Systems Administration competitions across two consecutive years.

I applied network configuration and troubleshooting skills under strict time limits throughout each event. In 2025, I earned regional gold and went on to win a provincial bronze medal as the first student from my school to place in the competition. In 2026, I secured city-level gold again and finished 4th at provincials. These experiences strengthened my ability to perform under pressure while resolving complex technical problems.

Certifications

20+ professional certifications in cloud computing, cybersecurity, networking, Microsoft 365, digital literacy, and more.

Over the past few years, I've earned over 20 professional certifications. Each one meant studying course material, practicing the skills hands-on, and passing a certification exam. This steadily built up my technical knowledge and professional ability.
